Welcome to the Managing with Data portal, the companion site to the book Managing with Data: Using ACRLMetrics and PLAmetrics.
The purpose of the book is to give its readers a roadmap for using ACRLMetrics and PLAmetrics and lay a foundation of skills on which to build upon. This companion web portal enables readers to work with actual data variables and selected data as they answer the questions included in the chapter exercises.
Both ACRL and PLA have kindly agreed to provide readers of the book access to a complimentary subset of ACRLMetrics and PLAmetrics. Both subsets of data represents those libraries in each sector that have consistently provided data in annual surveys over a span of years.
Because these data services require some orientation, managers in academic and public libraries, and the staff they oversee, will benefit from the guidance offered throughout the book and in this portal.
